First of all thanks to all fans in the "Ruhrgebiet" for a sold out Westfalenhalle in Dortmund. I think we were 12.000 fans in there. We arrived 1 hour before start and had some fast beers. Then met up with anoher 8 fans. Brandi and his crew. So we were 11 altogether. Point 8.00 pm the lights went down and you hear the first tones of Why aye Man. In my opinion a very good starter and replacement of Elvis. By the way: The sound was very good and clear. Walk of Life: I can't hear it anymore. What it is and Sailing to Philadelphia were played perfectly. Romeo: Good stuff. Sultans: Very powerful with different solo. But quiet strong. Bonaparte: time to look around a bit in the hall. Sonny Liston: Cool live track with heavy sound Rüdiger: A good song. But Tupelo would have been better Boom like that: Very cool live with smooth guitar licks and superb solos. Speedway: Nothing to say. One of my live favs. But it was better 4 years ago. Telegraph: Super as always Afterwards we were standing in the first row. Only one meter in front of Mark!!! Brothers in Arms: With Sultans my all time favs. Money: so lala. Heard too often. So far away: Nothing special Shangri La. Good to hear that one but a show must end with Going Home or Wild Theme. It was great to see the band again. Also Danny was very good. Had my doubts but now I enjoy to see him in Cologne again. There are some tickets left for this show. Buy them to see MK and Band in Europe's biggest indoor hall. All in all: Dortmund was great but Cologne 2001 was even better. They only changed 4 songs from 2001 to 2005. Cheers Dirk

Thank you very much Mark and Band, what a great concert!! The voice from MK is better than before - and then these soli in: Sultans of Swing,What it is, Boom like that and much more better: Speeway and unbelievable good in Telegraph Road. 4 encores with the unforgetable Brothers in arms, Money for nothing, So far away and the relaxing Shagri La`- Wow, Wow, Wow . The Sold out Westfalenhalle has a very good acoustic!!! So friends - see you again later in Cologne - Ciao and bye Daniel

Again a great concert (after Stuttgart my 2nd of this tour). Nearly everything is said in the reviews below. Somebody worte about Mark, that he is like redwine, the older the better. That´s true. I´ve seen a lot of Dire Strais and MK shows, but this Tour is one of his best sofar. In Dortmund MK seems to be in a good mood. The band realy had fun on stage. I think MK introduced the band in a new way. He always said: "You may know him from..." (e.g. Guy: ... the old days..., Matt:...Golden Heart, he played Rudiger..., Danny:... Dire Straits...) As he said Dire Straits the crowd got very loud (althoug that most of the peoble didn´t knew that Danny played Percussion on the last DS tour). For a seating audience the spirit was good, too. Not comparable to Stuttgart were the people just applaued politly (Sorry Stuttgart but the audience in Dortmund seems to have more fun). I don´t want to discuss the setlist again, but I missed Local Hero. Shangria La was wonderful but Local Hero is the better ending for such an evening. Looking foward to see this great band in Cologne.

Absolutely great concert ! Very good and clear sound. The venue was sold out, so we had a really great atmosphere. Reminds me of the Straits - concert that I saw there in 1991... I was really happy to see Mark again although I missed him outside the venue before the concert. I was trying to get an autograph but there was no chance to come close to the backstage entrance. When I was discussing with a security guide, Mark and the band drove along in the 3 limousines . I could see him sitting in the black Mercedes and was thinking by myself "What a shi...!!!" But I was satified by the concert afterwards. By the way: does anybody of you know where it is possible to get an autograph of Mark ? Is there an adress where I can get one ? So, for everyone who is looking forward to seeing Mark live during the next few months: you will have a great time !!!

First MK concert I've been to since the Golden Heart tour. So no comparison to other gigs of the current tour. Overall feeling: the band had lots of fun, you could see this during the encores. Great: everyone was standing for the cheers after Sultans, too sad they sat down again til the end of Telegraph, but then everyone was standing until the end of the concert. We found a nice place a few inches off the stage right in front of MK, funny sound though, heard his guitar from his guitar amps, and the drum kit straight from stage, while the rest of the sound dropped off the PA from the left and right. In the silent moments of Brother you could even her MK's original voice from stage, not through the PA boxes. Too sad: He seems to have broken with a few great traditions, since he left out the "thank yoooohuuuu" after Romeo and - even more sad - didn't play Going Home at the very end. But, haven't enjoyed any concert like this one since the final DS tour 1991/92.

Really one of the best gigs i've been to (DS/MK)! The sound was excellent and very powerful. Lightshow was perfect! MK and band were 1A!!!!!!!! The best Sultans of Swing i've ever heard! Highlights: Sultans of Swing, Speedway at Nazareth, Boom like that and Telegraph Road! No comment about the setlist as there's too much discussion going on! It was a good one! Danny was brilliant at the drums and Matt was superb at the piano and accordion. You could see that the band was enjoying the whole gig. After SOS the crowd was screaming and everbody was standing! Looking really forward to Cologne on the 6th of June!!! If you have a ticket -> GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the review before already said, not the best concert of the tour/the concerts i've seen, but that does not mean it was a bad one, it was a powerfull, short but inspired concert, the usual set list, good sound and a band that enjoyed themselves, but where is the Pensa- Suhr?????? good luck and a guaranteed good time to those who are still about to see them

It was my 5th concert of this tour and my 13th DS-/MK-gig at all. The sound was very good, much better than in Hamburg. No oversteering. The setlist was a little bit poor. The same one just like in Hamburg on yesterday. No "Donegan´s gone", no "Back to Tupelo", no "Going home". "Our Shangri-la" was the final one of 16 songs. Total playing time about 2 hours and 5 minutes. Good concert, but not a highlight of the tour.
