Awesome. Stunning. Amazing. I still can't find the right words to describe the show. It was my 3rd Mark Knopfler's gig, and it was the best. I've been so lucky to stand just a few meters form the stage, and I could see Mark doing all his magic with those great guitars, including the new Pensa, which sounds really brilliant. The band is great! Matt with his accordion gives heart to many songs. Glenn was always smiling, and his bass is so... full, solid! Richard is a true master and he goes around on stage having fun, he's nice to see and hear. Danny is a huge drummer, thunderous I must say. I had the luck to meet him before the show, and is a very nice and smiling man! I still can't believe I had the chance to talk to him. I met Guy Fletcher too, and he's such a lovely, kind and nice man! I still have to take a look at the pictures I took with him to realize that yes, I REALLY met him. And he's an amazing musician, too. Mark said on stage that he could play anything, and wash your dishes, too! Mark is amazing. The way he plays is something that still gives me shivers. And I found that his voice is more beatiful than some years ago. Deeper and warmer. I've been listening his music for 20 years, and some of his songs still drop a tear in my eyes. Whenever I think “He couldn't do better than this”, well, he DOES better than I could ever imagine. I have nothing to say about the setlist, to me it was perfect. The best songs were Romeo & Juliet (with one of the longest ovations I ever heard in a rock show), Telegraph road, Speedway at Nazareth, with that huge, perfect, loud volume, Boom like that (really rockin'), Done with Bonaparte. Well, I should write that each song was great! The audience was small, but very loud and warm, singing every single word of the songs, and Mark and the band seemed very pleased. They had the nice idea to play along while we were singing a typical italian chant, “Alè-ò-ò” and that moment was real fun. I had the time of my life! Thank you Mark, and thanks to the whole band. I'm blessed to had once again the chance to hear you playing live.
