I´m looking forward to the concert! it´s just a pitty that the concert will only be in front of a sitting audience, so there won´t be the feeling of a concert with a crowd staying and shaking around in front of the stage!

My wife and me were happy to be part of the great show at Stadthalle Arena on Tuesday; it was a great gig, Mark played good (not perfect), but I don´t care, because every single tone coming out of his guitar sounds like heavenly music for me. By the way, I must say, that as important as Mark himself is the virtuous play of Guy Fletcher. As the last relict of the Dire Straits band from the 80s he seems very important for me to make the authentic groove on stage. Austrian Radio Station "Radio Wien" took coverage of the concert and broadcasted it from 10 PM to midnight. Does anyone have a recording of the concert broadcasted on radio and put a link for download. I think many MK-fans would be more than just happy. Many greetings to all the Knopfler fans out there. And thank god for such a great guitar player. God bless you, Mark!

There were some songs where MK's voice couldn't be heard that well and got lost in the shuffle. On a quiet number like "The Fish and the Bird" it was crystal clear and I thought his voice sounded truly excellent on that. At mid-point and at the end of the concert, he went back and appeared to put a throat lozenge in his mouth, I don't know if he does that all the time or not. He went for, and hit, the high note on "Postcards from Paraguay" so I give him credit, if his voice was giving him trouble last night in Vienna. Even if I couldn't always hear the voice, I could always hear the "other voice" -- his guitar, loud and clear, and it was magnificent. The man is a true wonder.

Review Wien - Stadthalle A very good concert last night with the same setlist like all the days before. hightlighs why aye man, the fish and the bird, hill farmer's blues (!!!), marbletown, speedway at nazareth, telegraph road and going home lowlights (mark voice wasn't loud enough) what it is, true love will never fade, postcards of paraguay in my opinion the concert in 2005 (shangri la tour) was a little bit better. Sorry Mark you are getting older. killy
