My second concert of this world tour and being in my homeland and on my birthday I just had to attend. it was nice of Mark to play for me on my birthday and also to invite so many fellow fans to share the event. I loved the Munich show but on Sunday Night Mark performed even better. Her warmed to the audience, who off course, warmed to him. His voice was great, no signs of the recent harshness that's been reported. Added to the Munich show were Tupelo and Shangri-La. Both delivered in top quality. I love the Tupelo song as its written and sung by my favourite living artist about my all time favourite artist, Elvis Presley. Great song and it captures the movie period of Elvis's life in such a simple manner. The guitar on this song is haunting and for me just great. Shangri-la is a wonderful song so much so that a guy a few rows in front of me seemed to want it played after every song. He got his wish in the end and Mark even nodded in his direction as the guy rose to applaud that fact that Mark was indeed singing it. Speedway is just awesome and Danny's drumming was superb, Great stuff. Telegraph Road and Sultans are always the high spots and Mark did not disappoint. The mid show sit down session was the same songs as usual plus Tupelo off course, but they were mixed up with Tupelo coming after Bonaparte and Sonny Liston bringing up the rear after Rudiger. Rudiger, what a wonderful song. Only mishap of the night was Mark's comment that Lonnie Donnegan was Scottish. Don't know why he slipped than in as even the lyrics of the Song tell us he was Irish. I watched Mark as he sung that line and he realised his mistake as the word 'Irishman' was mumbled over the mike. However why complain. Such a small flaw on what was a brilliant night. Met a few fans before and after the concert, most on this list already. Its great when we can get together share a few beers and listen to the greatest living guitarist. Roll on the NEC in Birmingham where I get to soak this up all over again. Oh by the way the Edinburgh show had a different closer. I'm not going to spoil things for others who will be attending the UK shows but pay attention. Its different and very nice indeed. Just surprised that he picked a gig in Scotland not to close with 'Going Home'

MIxed emotions. Grateful that I have seen him, at last, and hugely relieved he played Tuppelo and Shangrila, which are unbeatable even by his standards, and yes, Telegraph Road was impressive, but...what was wrong with his guitar in the opening solo, and more importantly, why is he persisting with Sonny Liston,Lonny Donegan, Bonaparte and Rudiger ? Answers on a postcard (from Paraguay hopefully). Thanks mate, but more of what makes us applaud please, or at least arrange for the Playhouse bar to be open during the concert.

Superb night, with Romeo and Juliet bringing the house down! The usual restrained Edinburgh audience eventually got to their feet after Telegraph Road, and some of us rebels stayed on our feet for the remainder of the show. Interesting shirt, Guy!

Well, that was just incredible! It was my first time seeing Mark Knopfler live, and i was totally blown away. It was a small venue, but packed out completely, and the guys got the crowd on their feet for a good few numbers towards the end of the show. Telegraph Road was inspirational; standing ovation from the Playhouse. And Shangri-La closer was just perfect. Setlist: [i think!] 01. Why aye man 02. Walk of life 03. What it is 04.
