Salut, J'était hier soir en Parterre M, 23ème rang et j'ai passé un moment inoubliable. J'ai pris une claque avec "If this is goodbye", remarquable chanson et interpretation pleine de sensibilité. Waouw, j'en ai eu la chair de poule... J'en suis encore tout retourné.Un beau et grand moment aussi ce fut l'intro de Romeo and Juliet par Matt Rollings, nickel, parfaite. J'avais jamais entendu "Why Worry" en live mais pas déçu du tout. C'est quand-même un crack notre Marko même si on a encore eu droit à "Done with Bonaparte" que je n'aimepas du tout mais c'est juste une question de gout. Toutes les chansons ont été, je trouve, interprêtées comme sur l'album sans trop de changement, c'est assez rare de la part de MK mais c'est bien aussi. Pas de "Beachcombing" dommage , vraiment dommage car je l'aime bien celle-là. Bref, un grand moment ...

MES IMPRESSIONS: j'étais donc assis au 1e rang par hasard juste devant le micro de MK. même position des musiciens que le shangri là tour. juste Emmylou qui se met entre MK et Richard. les gens sont restés assis durant tout le concert. ce n'est qu'à la fin du 2e rappel qu'ils se sont agglutinés debout au pied de la scène je me suis donc levé pour rester aux pieds de MK acoudé sur la scène. quand il battait du pied, mes bras vibraient !!!! soit, super ambiance (meilleure que Anvers 2005) super concert (évidement assez calme) mais franchement ils ont tout les 2 bien assuré pour une première... par contre c'était bien Danny et non Chad à la batterie... voilà en gros mes impressions à chaud (ou ça a eu beau se passer la veille je suis encore chaud)

What a refreshing setlist. The band played great, but MK & EH were noticibly nervous. Some great moments - Romeo & Juliet received a very romantic piano-intro - EH had to restart why worry adding (quite worryfull): "I'm playing the guitar-intro on a Mark Knopflersong." - Mark was during the show very humble, putting himself by times in the shadow of EH, but gently adding little notes. - The guitarduet with Richard during I dug up a diamond was also on of the real highlights. Some guitarfacts. - Mark started of with a black Danelectro, followed by a Gretsch Country gentleman. - He used the old National (BIA-national) on Romeo & Juliet, and had the beltona for the other songs - He played quite a lot acoustic, and maitained on Les Pauls for the mere part of the show. - He used a pensa only for the outro of Romeo & Juliet - in the encores he used his signature strat on Why Worry, with a capo way up high - for So Far Away & Sanghri-la he used the old sunburst Strat. Bonjour à tous, un très beau concert où le duo MK-EH, pour sa première prestation sur scène de cette tournée, a très bien fonctionné notamment sur des morceaux comme "All That Matters", "Roméo & Juliet", "Our Shangri-La", "So Far Away" et "Why Worry". Le chant à deux voix a sublimé ces morceaux en leur donnant une dimension émotionnelle supplémentaire. Quant aux morceaux issus de leur album, rien à y redire, ils ont été joués à la perfection avec notamment un "This Is Us" enlevé. Mention spéciale à "Done With Bonaparte" où tous les musiciens étaient alignés sur scène dans une sorte de communion musicale et surtout un "Speedway To Nazareth" électrique et virevoltant qui m'a donné la chair de poule. En conclusion, un très bon concert où la complicité entre les musiciens et particulièrement entre MK et EH faisait plaisir à voir. Seul bémol: le comportement de certains spectateurs qui non contents d'arriver en retard restent debout devant les autres spectateurs en attendant d'être placés. Cela m'a gâché 20 bonnes minutes de concert mais je ne pense pas qu'ils s'en soucient...

The opening song was surprisingly "Right Now". I can't remember all songs and I don't know the songs EH sung, but they were great. One was called Red Dirt, I think. I think there were a lot of true MK & EH fans in the audience. Very good first show.
