I was sitting way up front at the concert, and I didn't perceive as many imbalance problems as did DJ, though if one reads Richard's and Guy's tour diaries, they both make reference to the Constitution Hall's acoustics being problematic in past years as well as this year's. There were a few times during the concert when I wondered "are people singing along?" but actually it was an echo within the hall, I think. It would've been better to have been at Wolf Trap, but whatcha gonna do. That having been said, I thought the musicianship was superb. The highlights of the concert for me were "Speedway at Nazareth" (how can it not be?) "Shangri La" "Sonny Liston." Emmy Lou's vocals were lovely; what a beautiful and serene stage presence she has. I really enjoyed meating other "Local Hero" board members before the concert. What a neat group of people. I'd happily reunite with you guys anywhere, anytime! Libran77.

Met with several othe MK New and Local Hero members for a pre-show meal. Thanks to Sandy for putting this together. It was great meeting you all. The DAR Hall was smaller than I imagined so the setting was more intimate and involved. The acoustics from section D (side balcony ) were ok to good but the bass was way too saturated and broke up the flow of the concert. Echoes from the higher frequencies were also noticable along the rear of the room. After attending the superb sounding Shangri-La show in Portsmouth VA NTelos amphitheater Iast year I probably will avoid the small music halls in the future. That said, I was just happy to see and hear MK,ELH, Guy, Danny, Richard and Matt again. The set list was the same as most of the recent shows. It was a wonderful way to end a week of the Stanley Cup (Raleigh) Champions, a DC visit with my wife and a wonderful trip all together. DJ
