I love Chris Rea.I love J.J Cale. After this show in Hamburg i now who the ultimate guitarking is.The name is Mark Knopfler.Mark and his great band played 16 fantastic songs, and everybody in this big arena had a lovely time.Sultans is mayby one of the best songs ever, and this live version was so great.Other higlights : What it is,Speedway, and of course Telegraph road. For those lucky people who had tickets for a show in this tour, i can tell you Knopfler is still the man.

One more great concert last evening in the "Colorline Arena" in Hamburg. Mark and the band had a lot of fun and the crowd went crazy, especially at the encores.
As to my opinion the sound was not as good as in Stuttgart, Hannover and Rotterdam, where I´ve been before. Mark´s guitar-amps has had some oversteering for many times. And when they played "Song for Sonny Liston" just before the end of the song there was a loud noise just like "boom" and Mark´s voice was not to hear any longer. There was any technical problem. After that followed "Rüdiger" and everything was OK again.
The versions the band played were very nice and the crowd loved every second of the concert. It´s allways an honor to hear and see Mark live! And this time for me it was a very special moment when Mark was so gentle to sign my "Fender MK Signature" at his hotel. I´m very happy about it!
I can´t await today´s concert in Dortmund!
