What a lovely short gig it was! And I was one of 150 lucky people who got tickets. What a fortune! But on the way from my home city Münster to Berlin which is a distance of about 480 km my good friend Dieter and me needed 9 hours because of an awful accident on the highway A2 near Hannover. The traffic jam took nearly 4 hours. Unfortunately one man has died. We couldn´t do anything to go on. After the abolishment of the suspension I drove as fast as possible to arrive at the venue half an hour before beginning. We were in a cold sweat and couldn´t believe that we just managed it. What an easement! But Mark´s performance reimbursed us for our adventure. Mark played a nice set of 10 songs including 3 from the new album. My favourite was “Let It All Go”. A very big surprise was his live premiere of “Postcards From Paraguay”. The show was shooten by german TV. It will be a great recording that will be broadcasted on “RBB” on Sept. 21st 2007. Don´t miss it, guys! For everybody who cannot wait so long here are links to my recordings that I did with my photo camera. The picture quality is not so good but the sound is taken from the radio broadcast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uAGt5SpP4o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRlb8W0r7AU After Mark has played “The Fizzy And The Still” he told us that his guitar was out of tune because of the extremely high temperature at the venue. After Glen has tuned it Mark continued with “True Love Will Never Fade”. It was a beautiful evening that makes anticipation to the following tour! Regards Holger
